Analysis and testing form the core skills of EAnD. We aim to calibrate
our analytical approaches and models against
physical tests in the field thereby getting a good understanding of the accuracy
of the analytical results. Our analytical skills include:
Finite element analysis - structural, thermal, dynamic, earthquake,
vibration, nonlinear materials, large deflection analysis;
Fracture mechanics - for fabrications, machined items such as shafts,
large castings;
Statistical analysis including:
Material properties;
Stochastic analysis such as Monte Carlo simulation;
These analytical skills allow us to perform failure analysis, develop remedial
measures for poorly functioning or failed equipment and review designs for new
machinery
